    Romans 12:1-2

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

God‘s holiness and brilliance are worthy of our total, undivided praise. We as his people are called out of the world to be living sacrifices on his behalf. This year’s retreat will focus on what it means to put our lives on the altar of sacrifice to God. What does God wish to burn away? What does He wish to refine? How can we live our lives as pure and holy sacrifices to him? Join together with students from across the Midwest as we resist being conformed, but instead seek to be transformed by God’s refining hand.

Friday Evening Main Session (7:30 pm in CHAPEL)

    Jimmy & Kathryn Black

    "The Location”

In the Old Testament, the altar was the bridge between heaven and earth, where people met God. Today, the location of these divine meetings has changed, and we must encounter Him anew.

Saturday Morning Breakout Session #1 (9:00 am)

    "Wholly Holy"

    - Daniel & Daniela Bumpus, Tatiana Reinbrecht (CHAPEL)

Building biblical convictions in an ever-changing culture-- how to be set apart for God in the areas of purity, singleness and dating.

    "In His Presence”

    - Tom & Carol Nuelle (TACK ROOM)

As it says in Hebrews 9:14, Jesus’ sacrifice cleansed our consciences so that we may serve the living God. His blood opened the way into His holy presence. This class will teach us to find power from God through the spiritual disciplines. We will dig into prayer, fasting, meditation, and worship.

"’Are They Really Lost, Though?’ Developing a Heart for the Lost"

    - Dan Winchester, Steven Bumpus, Emily Moulden (CARRIAGE ROOM)

Are they really lost? How learning to have a heart like Jesus will save your friends and change the world too.

    Saturday Men's & Women's Sessions

(10:00 am, WOMEN in CHAPEL, MEN in CEDAR ROOM)

    Jimmy & Kathryn Black

    “The Sacrifice”

We have discussed the new location of divine encounters. Now it is time to get real about the sacrifices God requires. What is God calling you to put on the altar?

Saturday Morning Breakout Session #2 (11:30 am)

    "The Impact of Sacrifice"

    - Aaron & Jade Katch, Tracy & Phyllis Larr (CHAPEL)

Sacrifice for God isn’t simply about giving your time and money. It’s not just about what you sacrifice-- your life is the sacrifice. In this class, we will explore what God can do with the life-giving kind of sacrifice that disciples of Jesus are called to. Through a multigenerational lens, we will look at how God can work through you to have both short-term and long-term impact.

"Reaching Unity: How to Discuss Politics in Church”

    - Ben & Jen Weatherston (TACK ROOM)

In a power-hungry culture of division, the church and its people should stand apart as holy and unified; transformed and not conformed. We can discuss religion and politics- but with intention, truthful dialogue, and an unwavering allegiance to Jesus.

    "Leadership Shift"

    - Phil & Jill Perez (CARRIAGE ROOM)

We can sometimes ask, “What does a leader do?” Or, “How do I become a leader?” However, most often we need to consider more deeply that becoming or being a leader is more a question of, “Who ought I to be?” than any other question we may ask.

Sunday Morning Main Session (10:00 am in CHAPEL)

    Jimmy & Kathryn Black

    “The Assembly”

An individual living a new life for God is inspiring. But an assembly of transformed individuals is world altering. As we close out our time together, let us discuss how the collective body of Christ can turn our world upside down.
